Friday Fab 4| Moncton Wedding Photographer

It’s been so long since I did a Friday Fab 4 Post but hope to bring them back into rotation more regularly! Let’s wrap up the week with a few of my favourite things, shall we?

1. Read This If You Want to Take Great Photographs – Henry Carroll

This. Book. Is. The Bomb. It caught my eye over the holidays and I’ve been bragging it up to anyone who’ll listen since I picked it up.

Anyone can learn to take better pictures by reading the book, so the title could not be any more spot-on. The information is free of jargon that typically intimidates newbies and contains simple explanations, examples and exercises to ease anyone into improving their images- no matter their level of experience with photography. This read is a really is a good reminder that great photos start with observing our surroundings and understanding light. This is a great succinct way to get a lot more out of your equipment – even if you are just shooting with a phone.

2. The MRS Box

I discovered these little beauties last week while chatting with a lovely lady that I will soon introduce in a Fab 4 feature of her own. For now, get a load of these adorable itty bitty ring boxes. While this is clearly my foolish and frivolous entry for this post, I just could not resist. They are just so sweet and colourful and the perfect little treasure box for that special ring. Plus they are made with vintage french velvet- so you just know I’m going to be all over them. Check out the full collection on their beautiful website. This gorgeously styled capture from their homepage should get you salivating:

3. Annie France Noel- Photographer/Artist

Some of you have had the pleasure of meeting Annie France who is one of my awesome second shooting ladies. What you probably don’t know is that she is an unbelievably talented  fine artist too. Her polariod creations are just mind blowing and although I’m not yet sure where they will be exhibited or if they will be available for purchase, I had to share this little video by the team at Meet Moncton showcasing her creative polaroid manipulations. It’s amazing work and I can’t wait to be able to tell you more about how you can get your little paws on one! Check her out:

4. Simply Framed

I’m a collector. I find things I like and hoard them-especially things that I consider to be art. The problem is, there is no real rhyme or reason to what steals my heart and it’s a challenge to find frames to display my postcards/prints/photos/fabric/etc. So, all these things end up in boxes, tucked away and temporarily forgotten. I’ve finally found a solution and can’t wait to try it: Simply Framed. They can frame anything (see their blog for inspiration) and the process looks easy as pie. Need a custom frame? They can help you out.
