Ari and Alex | Montreal Destination Wedding Photographer

Guests from all over the world bunked together like old friends. The decor and food was prepped on site with a mighty crew of dedicated helpers (and a lineup of crockpots!).  Ari wore her grandmother’s fur and and the biggest grin I’ve ever seen on her face. Alex’s Aussie-posse experienced his (other) Canadian love: winter. They snow-tubbed down the aisle as a rainbow of parkas cheered on. Her super proud older sister officiated with snowy pines as a backdrop. There was maple taffy by the fire-pit and frolicking on a frozen lake. We all wore long johns. The reception had cozy après-ski feels and the cutest decor ever. His dad rocked the speech and school mates poured the drinks (and way too many Smirnoff Ices). Everyone joined in for an enthusiastic performance of “I am Australian”.  The attendants did a pee-your-pants-funny spontaneous choreography to this gem and we all danced like we were tweens again. It. Was. The. Best.

Ari and Alex planned a wedding weekend love fest that celebrated their laid-back longtime love to a T. Untraditional? Of course. Delightful? You bet. Surprising? Hardly. My friend of over twenty years has a  solid track record of successfully pulling off crazier things than an outdoor wedding in February. Still, it was awesome (and emotional) to behold and thrilling to capture: one more fun memory to add to the lifetime of ones we already share.  Ari and Alex: I’m so happy you’ve locked each other down for a lifetime of fun. Cheers  and much love to you, my friends.
